Canterbury: The Episcopal Church at USM is the church home for Episcopal members and guests in the Southern Miss community. Students, faculty, and staff gather for worship, fun, and outreach.

 

Everyone is warmly welcomed, no matter who they are, what they wear, how many questions they have about religion, or to what church they do (or don’t) belong!

Come take a break from the busy-ness of USM life. there are often services at the Church of the Ascension, followed by fellowship. There is also a network of support during good times and bad: rides to the hospital, support during issues with co-workers or roommates, celebrating the end of exams or the success of your intramural team. The Church of the Ascension hopes to increase its connection with these precious people.

The worship service is based in the Episcopal tradition. We aim to have services that are meaningful to members, providing both a space for quiet reflection and the joy of communal worship. We know it can be hard to carve out time for church, so we are mindful of busy college lives.
